Silent Shout

You are sitting across me, doing nothing
Short glances at your bored face, I keep on stealing
I just don't know what's on your mind
Would you care to ask mine?

Alas! You finally smiled.
My tiny fragile heart is blushingly glad.
My ears ring at your continuous laugh
It is my jam, I just can't get enough.

The second I looked away from you,
You disappeared from my view
But then someone tapped my shoulder,
And surprisingly found you.

We had a long convo, yes, you and I.
It's a world where only we existed, yes, you and I.
I wished for it to never end
And yes, young was the night, what's there to expect?

Who would have thought we'd have this night?
Where introverts transform and take their flight
Who would have thought we'd be in this?
This will be the moment I will surely miss.

I wish I can record this as the night folds,
So that this moment I can forever hold.
Or wish for you to look me directly in the eye
As I silently shout this feeling will never die.

"Can you please try to read my mind and see what I feel inside?"
