Was it worth it?
being with you for years and not feeling loved.
Was it worth it?
being with your company but still feeling alone.
Was it all worth it?

We were in a circle but I always had my own
You chose to widen yours and leave mine alone
You opened your heart with everyone but I never once felt it
You started a bonfire but I was just there for the ashes
You knew I find it hard to open up
But still chose to keep yourself away enough,
enough to touch but never to hold,
enough to say I care but never love
I knew but still stayed.

 
Now, I finally set my heart free
I might still be alone, but heck not lonely
I choose my freedom over fake friendship
I choose loneliness over crocodile love
I choose myself over anything else.
This is what's worth it.

Without a single trace of guilt, you judge her. 
You don't even know her but still, you judge her. 
You've become friends with her, but you still secretly judge her. 
Why? What good does it do to you? 

She thinks before she speaks but not you. 
She considers the why's and the how's and the maybe's but you don't
She understands but you doubt
She has met the wrong person and you just shrug
Why do you waste her time? Why pretend? 

She means well, really, why don't you do the same? 
Why do you take her for granted? Is it 'cause she's nice? 
Why do you always rub your feet on her? Is it good? Does it make you good? 
You hide your ugliness and display your pretenses like they're trophies
Tell me, do you feel like a winner even when you have no one to compete with?
